REDCON

REDCON is an action and strategy game set in a world where World War I never ended. You play one of the Empire's generals, whose mission is to end the rebellion of the traitor General Kranz. This is the only way to end the war.

REDCON's battles take place in real time, although you can pause the game whenever you want to give orders. Your cannons (and those of your enemies) will be reloading and shooting nonstop, but thanks to this pause tactic, you can choose your objectives or the type of munition you want to use. Likewise, you can order your soldiers to report to different positions.

You'll find a vast arsenal of weapons at your disposition, with cannons in many different sizes, giant missiles, machine guns, lasers, etc. You can even send zeppelins carrying your soldiers to attack enemy forts. Also, as you complete missions you can start customizing your fortress.

REDCON is an excellent strategy/action combo that's been endorsed by HEXAGE, authors of quality games like Reaper and Radiant Defense. Naturally, the graphics are absolutely gorgeous.
